electroacoustic gamelanesc organism
– is an attempt of dissolving our egos, trying to create an open, free and ever-changing organism, made up of various individuals, their interdisciplinary talents and limitations.
In order to collectively imagine other times to come, we Derridve* our orientation from Deleuziously** “fair l’idiot”.
While doing that, we are trying to observe ourselves listening with Freudian ears to our three collective psychological agents, the id, ego and superego.
What is to come is yet to see, only thing sure is that we are playing, playing shapes into finding and building percussive instruments, learn collective rhythms inspired by gamelan, establish roles (or not), amplify acoustic sounds, record, perform and continuously learn from each other.
Three psychic agents of our collective (un-/sub-)conscious:
ID: Individual discharge provoked by primal drives, pleasure principle in a collective environment.
Super EGO: Morality driving us to labour in learning and applying electroacoustic and specifically gamelanesc rules and roles inside the organism.
EGO: Floating between consciousness of the external world and dreamy unconscious and finally dissolving inside the organism.
EGO is moderating between ID and Super EGO and at the same time opening a greater space having to include both ID and Super EGO.
